Spark Retail Yoda - Store Stockroom Specialist Position!
Join us in creating a positive shopping experience and supporting the community at Spark Science Centre's store. Your commitment to maintaining an organized space and assisting customers will contribute to the success of our science center. Training will be provided, and your strong communication skills are all you need to get started!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the store, as needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized selling floor and stockroom
- Receive, unload, and unpack new and returning merchandise
- Utilize inventory management processes to record, count, and tag shipments
- Categorize, shift, and file back-stocked merchandise accordingly
Qualifications:
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Skills to use a variety of technologies and computer applications
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Potential Risks/Health and Safety Concerns:
- Occasionally lift boxes over 20 lbs; a second person is required for assistance.
