Upper Galleries Ambassador
Assisting in Open Studio & Being Human
Hands on learning can be a task at time for some guests' and we're excited to have the opportunity to assist with these hurdle at the pace of the individual, welcome to Open Studio and Being Human.
Volunteering in these combined spaces, you will have many opportunities to become an ambassador assisting Spark and its guests with the following:
Open Studio
- Communicating with guests in this exploratory area, assisting them with safe practices as they learn through reverse engineering and what is occurring behind the scenes of their favorite technologies
- Supporting the maker spaces by checking and ensuring the correct needed materials are available for guests to explore with
- Showing an interest in activities encouraging guests to participating in.
- Educating guests about the exhibits and Spark pieces you are interested in during your connection with them
- If an exhibit appears to be down, contacting your closet Spark employee (should be located in Steven's Lab, Pixel or Birdly) to provide assistance.
- If radio training has been completed; communicating with the exhibits to assist further after problem solving have been completed unsuccessfully.
Being Human
In the Being Human exhibit we break down some of the communication of the human body into it 5 senses (no tasting currently) while letting guests explore at a much simpler pace.
- Communicating with guests in our interactive areas and assisting them with thoughtful prompts to experience the human brain.
- Making sure to be attentive to our guests that are circling throughout the exhibit.
- Being present and available towards our guests by not hiding or being avoidant.
- Being courageous to approach our guests and ask questions!
- If an exhibit appears to be down, contacting your closet Spark employee (should be located in Steven's Lab, Pixel or Birdly) to provide assistance.
- If radio training has been completed; communicating with the exhibits to assist further after problem solving have been completed unsuccessfully.
In addition to enhancing the guests' experience, assisting with wayfinding in and around the building. in addition to resetting those exhibits that appear to being missed used (if applicable)
