What does it mean to be a Prototype Project Mentor?
In this role, you will work alongside the science connections team, travel to schools, and help mentor students as they design and build their own science exhibits! You will also assist in:
- Mentoring students in grades 4-9 as they design and build prototypes of their own science exhibits.
- Mentors will use their skills and expertise to encourage students through their design process, provide constructive feedback, and ask open-ended questions.
- Participate in half- or full-day visits to schools in and around Calgary.
- Encourage students to collaborate to solve problems, inspire them to take risks, and build the confidence to embrace the learning that comes from failure.
